EnglishConnect

EnglishConnect - Learning English as a Second Language

EnglishConnect is now offered in our Stake for anyone who wants to increase their proficiency in the English language in a gospel-centered environment. Developing English proficiency can lead to increased academic and vocational opportunities.

The EnglishConnect courses are open to members as well as non-members so we encourage you to invite anyone you know who would benefit from increasing their English skills. The courses are for anyone whose native language is anything other than English. The EnglishConnect courses are also a great way to prepare to enter the BYU-Pathway Worldwide program in the future to continue your education.

The class meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm at the Staples Mill Stake Center - 10913 Staples Mill Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Please contact one of our instructors, Sister Amanda Enkey (Gayton) 804-938-8786 or Sister Courtney Mayfield

(Gayton Ward) Courtneydmayfield@gmail.com or Sandra Taylor (taylorhome33@gmail.com) for details.

You can find out more about the EnglishConnect courses below and at the following link: https://www.englishconnect.org/.

EnglishConnect 1 and 2

EnglishConnect 1 and 2 help beginning-level learners:

EnglishConnect 3 (online)

EnglishConnect 3 helps intermediate-level learners:

EnglishConnect 3 is for low-intermediate to high-intermediate learners. It is a self-paced online course, which means learners complete assignments at their own pace. The course includes a student led weekly gathering online or in a local meetinghouse. Students who successfully complete this third level of training are prepared to seek admission to BYU-Pathway Worldwide through BYU–Pathway Worldwide.
